The Joy Culture Foundation offers the Chinese Library, a play space, along with programs and classes in Mandarin.
Library of Chinese books form from 0 to 11 year-old reading levels.

General Policy
• Library is free to the public. Gold membership will be required to check out books.
• Children who are under 18 years of age will require a guardian’s signature upon signing up as Members.
• Library reserves the right to revoke Membership if privileges are abused.
Library premises and surrounding areas
• No unaccompanied children who are under 18 years of age. Children who are under 18 years of age must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian while on the Library premises. The responsibility rests with the parent or legal guardian for the care, safety, and behavior of the children in the Library.
• No food or drink in the library (outdoor patio is open for eating and drinking).
• No smoking or alcoholic beverages on Library premises.
• No pets or animals are allowed in the Library.
• No disruptive or abusive language, gestures, and activities in the library or at the play space set in the main room of the building.
• No phones allowed inside the building. If you need to take a phone call, please do so outside of the library.
• The Library is not responsible for any items lost or stolen. Any lost items found will be held in safekeeping and may be claimed after presenting proper identification.
• No soliciting
• The Library reserves the right to refuse service and/or ask any person(s) disrupting the library
environment to leave the premises.
Books Borrowing
• All materials including books are to be checked out prior to leaving the library premises. Borrowed materials should be returned in the same condition they were in prior to check out.
• Paid members ($50/year) would be able to check out 10 books per time for 4 weeks.
• Each book can be renewed for another 3 weeks after the initial 4-weeks loan period.
• Every overdue book will be charged $0.25 per day until it is returned. (ex. when a book is due on 10/1 and is returned on 10/10, the late fee will be counted as 8 days for $2)
• Members who have overdue books may not be able to check out any more new books.
• All lost books must be paid for $20 each. A fee of $2.00 will be charged for books that are damaged but can be repaired.
Privacy Policy
• The Library Member records are kept confidential. Personal information collected by the library is not shared with any third parties unless required by Law.
• The Library reserves the right to modify the privacy policy at any time.
The play space will provide an area for infants to develop motor skills and for children up to the age of 3 to play. The Foundation will provide toys and supplies.
Play Space Rules
1. Play space will be closed for cleaning and sanitization in the last 10 mins of each hour.
2. Shoes are not allowed in the play area. All adults and children are required to wear socks when entering the play area (by health code).
3. No food and drinks in the play area.
4. Parents and guardians, not The Joy Culture Foundation staff, are responsible for children and must remain on site at all times.
5. Wash hands before entering the play area.
6. Take good care of toys and equipment, and put items into “Used Bins” for cleaning and sanitization after usage.
6. The Joy Culture Foundation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
7. For safety reasons, children should enter the play space appropriate to their age.
