Service Description

Teach children how to choose healthy and delicious ingredients and master healthy cooking techniques. The cooking process stimulates children's five senses, allowing them to appreciate the charm of food. Also, it encourages children to explore the joy of cooking with their parents. Activities include: Reading a book about ingredients Mixing and observing ingredients in science experiments Tasting ingredients and learning their Chinese names Identifying cooking/baking tools with Chinese Our courses will also include an introduction and a taste of various seasonal desserts and cuisine. 教導孩子們如何選擇健康美味的食材,掌握健康的烹飪技巧。並通過烹飪過程,啟發孩子們的視、聽、嗅、味、觸五感,感受食物的魅力。也讓孩子們與家長一同探索烹飪的樂趣。課程內容包括: 閱讀兒童料理繪本 進行食材混合實驗觀察 品嚐食材並學習中文名稱 用中文認識烹飪工具 我們的課程內容還包括介紹與品嚐季節性的各種食材。 About our teachers: Ms. Ariel holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and a Master's in Art. She has worked as a museum exhibition planner and children's art teacher and currently teaches at an immersion bilingual IB school, fostering inquiry and encouraging creative, hands-on learning. Ms. Alice specializes in teaching art, cooking, and creative courses to young students in the Cupertino Union School District (CUSD). She emphasizes hands-on learning experiences that engage children's senses, fostering an environment where play and education are seamlessly integrated. Her approach encourages students to learn through interactive activities, promoting creativity and practical skills. *Recommended for toddlers aged 3-4 years old. Full Chinese language instruction. Adult participation is required. *13 sessions total:2/8, 2/15, 3/1, 3 /8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29, 4/ 5, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24. *Walk-in: $45

Cancellation Policy

*Programs may be canceled seven days before the first class date when the minimum enrollment is not met. Please register early. *If a class or program is canceled, participants are notified via email and will receive a full refund. Please note that refunds paid by credit card may take up to one to two weeks to process. *No refunds are provided for any one to five sessions, including workshops, special events, and trial classes. *Courses: Full refunds will be issued for cancellations made more than 10 business days before the start of the course and are subject to a 5% processing charge. For cancellations made 10 days or less from the start of the course, no refunds will be issued. *All cancellations need to be notified via email to info@thejoyculturefoundation.org -------------------------------- Attendance & Absence *We allow one absence per session for any personal reason and offer a credit equivalent to one class tuition, which must be used before the current course ends. *You can make up any classes using your credits this season. However, if the makeup class’ fee less than your credits, they are non-refundable. If the cost of the makeup class is higher, you will need to pay the difference. *To qualify for missed-class credits, students must notify us by email (info@thejoyculturefoundation.org) at least 72 hours before the scheduled start time. *Please note that we do not offer credits or refunds for students who miss two or more classes for any reason, including illness or personal reasons. Additionally, we cannot provide credits or refunds for missed classes when notification is received after the scheduled class time.
